Hold Life Lightly
Clients turn burdens to joy with HEALS coaching
A response to heavy times …
Where are your heavy burdens?
Ideal clients
HEALS coaching will support anyone who wants more satisfaction. However, it was designed with specific clients in mind. These clients are adapting to major changes in their life plans.
Examples of ideal clients
Parents of special needs children, and parents of children with long-term or life-threatening illness.
People shifting from work to retirement. People shifting from work to full-time parenting or vice versa.
Grown children who are caring for their parents.
People who have let go of professions they dearly loved; and people who have fallen out of love with their professions.
People who have been through illness or injury.
The client is powerful and wise
While my coaching model can be boiled down to the acronym HEALS, it does not imply that the client needs healing. In fact, I assume clients are completely well and fully capable of making great decisions. I hold the client in the highest regard and create a safe space for clients to listen to their own wisdom. I trust that no one knows the situation better than the client.
Often, the experience of being deeply heard and trusted is enough for clients to feel momentum.
HEALS overview
- Hold a vision.
- Embrace the experience
- Assess your resources and Act.
- Look for lightness
- Sustain yourself
Hold a vision
I invite clients to hold the long view of their lives. I invite them to begin with the end in mind, as if they are looking back on their lives years after they have met their challenges.
- How do they want to look back on the way they handled this challenge? What would be their guiding principles needed to handle it that way ?
- I invite clients to imagine their lives in five years. How do they want to remember it? How do they want their children to remember it? What lessons will they learn that will serve them the rest of their lives? What do they want to know about themselves when the challenge is resolved?
