Community Support is core to the way we do business. We truly care about our students and support you from the day you enrol right through to your graduation.  We appreciate that joining a coach training program is an investment of your time and money, and one you may have considered for a long time.  So, our team of support staff are dedicated to making sure you maximise your return on investment by creating a trouble free, learning rich and fulfilling experience. With staff located all around the world, we'll make sure you're never left hanging. Our student community has over 4000 students who participate daily in the private forums and have a choice of over 35 teleclasses a week in two different languages. It keeps us busy but we love to connect with our community and many of our graduates stay connected long after they graduate.  This speaks volumes to camaraderie and support you can expect. The ICA graduate yearbooks are full of student memorable moments all of which will testify to the positive, supporting and friendly global culture of ICA.  We look forward to answering any question you may have on becoming a coach, coach training or our school.

What support do you offer to help me get started?

In addition to joining the wider ICA community, every new student is also connected with their own private study group.  As a member of this small and informal group (generally 5 to 20 students) you will check in weekly via skype, email or the forum for the first couple of months of your study. Your group will have it's own dedicated member of the support team, who will make sure you have everything needed to get up and running.

Your study group will guide you and hold you accountable

  • Mapping out a study timetable that fits with your life and work commitments (it's different for everyone)
  • Finding your way around the learnsite (where to find the class schedule, how to post in the forum, where to find your assessment requirements)
  • Helping you to find your first peer coach
  • Connecting you with the support team and structures
  • Introducing you to your faculty

What support is there to help with assessment tasks?

The assessments for each program are an opportunity for you to showcase what you have learned.   They are not designed to trip you up or test you for the sake of testing.  Each course area has outcomes that prepare you for the final program evaluations. We then also have weekly course labs where you work on your course outcomes with the direct support of faculty.  A monthly graduation Q & A call will also help you to connect directly to ask any questions you might have.  Believe it or not, our graduates often say that the ICA program assessment is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding components of their program.

What if I need to miss a class one week (or for a couple of weeks)?

The class schedule is designed so that if you miss a class one week, you can take that same class another week at the same time or a different time.  The modules (classes) all rotate on a cyclical basis, with over 35 classes each week to choose from.  Because our community is global, we chose NY Eastern time as the one time zone for everyone.  But, our schedule is easily converted to your time zone.

What Business Support do you offer?

Not all our students need business support as some are using coaching with their existing profession and some students already have a coaching practice and are looking for certification. For professional coaches completing the Certified Program, students develop their coaching toolkit which consists of their own coaching model, power tool and research paper.  This will help set them apart from other coaches.

In addition in the Certified and Advanced Program students can develop their coaching niche and attend specialty lab classes where coaches talk about issues relating to that coaching niche.

For coaches wanting to set up their own coaching practice and taking the Advanced Program, we offer business building support which includes 12 month access to Business Express - step by step modules on how to develop your coaching business along with weekly labs where you can ask questions around your niche, business model or technical questions around setting up your website.
For anyone else, the Business Express package can be purchased separately or at a later date.

Finally we offer a Business Express Done For You service where we set-up your website for you. Again students who want this option can upgrade at any time.

Business Building is not about core coaching skills, its about sales and marketing of your coaching practice and won't be needed by everyone.

What if things change and I need to take a break from my studies?

Most of the students in our program have ongoing family or work commitments that influence the time they set aside for study. We totally  understand that and for this reason our programs are flexible and designed so that you create the study schedule that fits with your lifestyle and not the other way around.  If for some reason you find you need to take a break from your studies, then we have an enrollment variation policy where you can stop the clock on your studies for up to 6 months.

Where do I go when I do need help?

There's several places you can get support with your studies and our one contact policy means that if the first person you contact doesn't know the answer, they will do the running around and get back to you with the information you need.

    Our support team is mostly made up of ICA graduates, or staff members who have been wit ICA for over 10 years.  They know our programs inside out and the reason they work in support is that they love making our newbies feel at home, and celebrating the success of our students and graduates.  They will support you before you enrol, right up to graduation.
