CLEAR – Create Changes Gracefully in Five Steps

CLEAR Transition Coaching Model Crystal Thompson

A Coaching Model By Crystal Thompson
Transition Coach, UNITED STATES

The CLEAR coaching model is for those who are seeking the clarity required to make life adjustments graciously. These adjustments may be self-initiated or brought on by unforeseeable circumstances. We benefit a lot from thinking about and clarifying our needs and desires before we rush to change. One can enter the area of connecting and setting intentions for transformation using this example. This idea progresses through the steps, leading to reflection on the clarity discovered during the coaching process. In my research into the coaching experience, I have found that by identifying what needs to be made more obvious, a lot of minor modifications can emerge in only one session.

Obligation vs. Opportunity

Obligation vs. Opportunity Lynn Winterboer_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Lynn Winterboer
Agile Coach, UNITED STATES

When I first started my ICA journey, the phrase “Obligation vs. Opportunity” came to mind when I considered the experience many professionals go through when transitioning their organizations to an Agile way of working. Sometimes, the people undergoing the shift are forcing it on themselves; they want to go from a traditional method of delivering value to an Agile approach and perceive it right away as a chance to boost their relevance, pleasure, and professional satisfaction. To thrive in a rapidly changing and frequently unexpected world, organizational leaders frequently make the decision to be “agile,” motivating this transformation from the top-down as an organizational necessity.

SLOWNESS Shruti Garyali_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Shruti Garyali
Transformational Coach, INDIA

What else can slowness be used for? Unfortunately, slowness is not accurately described by the vocabulary. Slowness must be viewed through a larger lens of life, lifestyle, and spirituality. Slowness is a means to reestablish a connection with both the self and the environment. It’s about finding an equilibrium in the hectic pace of the day or serenity among the constant buzz of our minds. When you move more slowly, you are likely to become slightly more aware of yourself and your surroundings. This increased awareness gives you the opportunity to ponder on both important and less important topics.

Autonomy vs. Authority Ying Shing Wai_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Ying Shing Wai
Agile Coach, HONG KONG

Although the coaching might take place whenever the client has stress or anxiety, the client needs to proactively request the service and might not be aware. These can help identify opportunities and establish a highly structured approach to organizing coaching sessions for coaches, coachees, and leaders. We can focus more on examining content from the Autonomy vs. Authority space before it happens. Then, depending on how things turn out, we might focus on learning about autonomy and authority and see what we’ve learned. Next, we can investigate the reaction to the modified situation.

Visualization Bart van Grinsven_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Bart van Grinsven
Life Coach, Business Coach, SPAIN

One technique that is often used in coaching is visualization because it is difficult to do this without some kind of image. In this research paper, I explore why a visualization is an effective tool for helping our clients achieve their own goals, and how it opens up a world of possibilities for realizing those aspirations. This research paper only briefly touches on a few applications of visualization in coaching. Also not covered in detail is the vast study that has been conducted on the subject.

Efficiency vs. Effectiveness

Efficiency vs. Effectiveness David Peterson_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By David Peterson
Optimization Coach, CANADA

Humans have a tremendous desire to change the world, which motivates us to take action to make our lives better. Our desire to succeed drives us to work hard in our personal and professional lives. This motivation also pushes us to do actions that add the most value and inspires us to enhance what we’ve already accomplished. Similar to the way of thinking, efficiency vs. effectiveness are antithetical. Both have the ability to transform a person or an organization, but while effectiveness takes a holistic approach to growth and development, efficiency is more concerned with reduction.

A Research Paper By Beth Williams

What will coaching in the workplace look like in the future? According to a 2020 Forbes article, now is the moment for workplace coaching. Due to COVID-19, there has been chaos and confusion. The way we used to do business is no longer an option. It’s important to think creatively when things are chaotic. Creating a culture of coaching benefits the organization, its people, and its bottom line. The case for cultural change is clear. I am looking forward to being a part of my own organization’s transformative journey and using my coaching skills and knowledge to further the change in our people and the way we do our work.

Expectation vs. Opportunity

Expectation vs. Opportunity Miranda Meng_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Miranda Meng
Leadership Coach, TAIWAN

Perspectives have an impact on people. I developed a power tool Expectation vs. Opportunity to assist clients in changing their perspective from one of expectation to opportunity. This tool does not advise that we let go of all our expectations. Instead, it serves as a reminder to be more mindful and make the most of the times when our expectations are not met. This fact not only creates opportunities for us to turn our setbacks into ways to achieve our goals, but it also creates opportunities for us to better understand ourselves and others. In the process, we’ll make sure that the scenario we’re in is objective, discover what other stakeholders think and feel, and maybe work together to create something better together.
