by Robyn Logan, CEO
In 2019 we had 152 graduates from the English language programs and 15 from the Chinese Bilingual programs from 44 different countries and over 43 different niches.
Our community comes from diverse backgrounds ranging from human resources, professional development and training through to not for profits, small business and social work yet they have many similarities in that before becoming a professional coach, they had a strong desire to help people and felt like they had actually been coaching all their lives. Many of our students have lived in multiple countries and have completed extensive studies. They work in multinational organisations and have an open global mindset. After graduating some coaches use their skills in their current role, others blend coaching with other skills and many become professional coaches. It’s always exciting for us to read through graduates memorable moments and find out how they are going to use coaching going forward. We invite you to read and share in last year’s graduate stories.
Well done to all our 2019 graduates

Graduates reflect on their coaching journey and what they will do with their coaching skills.
Samantha Castro, Transformational Coach, THAILAND
"The observed coaching sessions had a great impact on my personal life and coaching career. I connected with amazing people with whom I am still in contact."
Bar Schwartz, Executive & Leadership Coach, GERMANY
"I cherish the relationships I developed at ICA. I am grateful for the people I have met, the friendships I developed and the mentors who challenged me to discover who I am in this journey. I am using my coaching skills to support leaders to become more inclusive and bring their people along a change journey."
Gemma McFall, Expat Coach, SRI LANKA
"The teleclasses were the highlight for me. Especially at the start of the course. I felt as though my brain was going to explode with new knowledge. My eyes were fully opened to a life without all the baggage we carry around. When I started this course I had already had chronic back pain for 10 years. I never once considered that this may have been due to an emotional trigger. "
Sibel Benmayor, Special Needs Families Coach, UNITED STATES
"Since the day I learned about coaching and started to study, it has been a part of my life. I value coaching and apply the principles (Active listening, powerful questions...) even in my personal relations. I am working on my marketing business model and thinking about the details of t building my business on stronger foundations. I have an 18 year old son with special needs and we've been through many challenges. I believe with my experience and skills I will coach families who are struggling."
Elena Carella, Life Coach, ITALY
"Memorable moments are so many. I found new colleagues that are now dear friends. What has been more important to me is that I could count on the support of people who are striving to achieve the same goals. As a coachee, I learned how to cope with difficulties I face every day and I still continue my journey with good ICA student coaches.
As a coach, I am learning to be patient and work in order to build up my professionality. Let's keep on practising."
Halina Matsarskaya, Leadership Presence Coach, UNITED STATES
"ICA community is simply my crowd - we speak different languages, but we are true soulmates here! The friendship I have made while working with my peers is timeless. What more, the ICA’s teachers' wisdom and the learning resources we are privileged to have access to are priceless. I am so excited to launch my own coaching practice with the Leadership Presence and Confidence focus."
Ivana Krcivoj, Life Coach, CROATIA
"Choosing ICA was the best decision I made in life.
So many memorable moments and wonderful people I have met.
Through Mentor and Observed coaching classes I have experienced so many breakthroughs and realizations. And when I think of Teleclasses - those were so amazing. Thank you, ICA Team, for changing my life in the best possible way! For me coaching is more than just a profession. It is a life calling."
Priya Lakshmi, Leadership and Life Coach, BAHRAIN
"My entire one-year journey with ICA was memorable. The enthusiasm with which I joined and started my first class remained and still continues. The classes were so interesting that I remained motivated through out! It was even more interesting and challenging to attend the classes with the 2 year old next me. I found a purpose for my life with coaching – How satisfying it feels when someone tells they achieved happiness, satisfaction / contentment, lightness and success because of me! Woow."
James Rosseau, Executive Coach, UNITED STATES
"I think it was during one of the sessions when I really put the combination of W.A.I.T. (Why Am I Talking) and the principle of understanding that we must coach the person not necessarily the problem they initially present. I watched the person I was coaching open up as I asked powerful questions, held back on my natural tendency to want to move to action planning and allowed the space to be there, even some awkward silence ... and the person had their moment of awareness."
Florence Adu, Life Coach, GHANA
"Arranging and meeting up with a fellow ICA student I met on a Zoom class. We met in Kenya, whilst on a business trip.
I also met up with another Africa based student, who had been my Peer coach. She came to Ghana for a work assignment. We had a lovely lunch together.
Solange Corm, Career Coach, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
"I reflect back to my journey in ICA, I had an issue where I used to be very connected to the story of the client and that was consistent feedback I received ...Amazing how I evolved on this and I stayed away for the story and it is something I am very proud of as it was my biggest struggle.
Thank you ICA, Master coaches and colleagues for keeping up with me and make me reach wherever I am now: a competent PCC coach!"
