Our Practice-based curriculum gives you a thorough grounding in the latest theories and philosophies of coaching, whilst integrating the skills and concepts into practice with hands on Coaching Demos and participation in a Peer Coaching Program.
The Academic Schedule is structured to give you time for practice and reflection in between classes. That way you can take your new skills, try them out with real clients and then come back for feedback and questions. It is a continuous cycle of growth.

As a coach you take on the role of advocate, sounding board and accountability partner. You will help people clarify their values, beliefs, feelings, and goals, and will hold a safe space for them to transform and thrive. It's a profession with portability and a global application - meaning that with today's easily accessed technologies, you can coach anyone, anywhere in the world from your own home or office.

What is your current situation?
When you talk to us this is the first question we will ask you, because where you are now in your career will influence the the type and length of program best suited to you. All our programs have pathways that enable you to commit up front to the full 125 hours of accredited training, or start small and upgrade as you go along.
Where and how will you coach?
Coaching is growing rapidly as both a career in and of itself, but also as a powerful tool for change in a range of workplaces and industries. ICA caters for a broad range of career placements. You might choose to set up your own professional practice, in which case our Business Building resources and Business Labs will support you. You might decide to bring coaching to your workplace; our Group Coaching course will be an additional skillset to add to your portfolio.
Where and how do you want to study?
ICA students have 24/7 access to the ICA Learnsite including learning materials, module downloads, curated resources, class schedules, peer coaching networks, and a private coaches forum with global networks and friendships. There's the choice to fast track or take your time, with morning, afternoon, evening, weekday and weekend classes. You choose what days and times you study. Perfect for people with a busy work or family life.

The International Coach Federation is the Peak Body for coaching worldwide. It supports coaches through events, resources and global chapters. It also accredits training programs that deliver coaching education. ICF-accredited education organizations must complete a rigorous review process and demonstrate that their curriculum aligns with the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
What is Accreditation?
International Coach Academy (ICA) has been accredited by the ICF since 2004.
The ICF “accredits” programs via an application process that involves rigorous external scrutiny and quality testing. A schools curriculum is mapped across core competencies, with faculty, assessment and learning processes all assessed. ICA is Level 1 & 2 Accredited.
What is Certification?
Professional Coaches hold Certification issued by Accredited Academies.
Certification is a recognized statement of attainment that indicates you have been assessed by a training provider as having the industry recognized skills, knowledge and expertise required to practice as a coach. Your certificate will indicate the level of skill and achievement.
What is a Credential?
Credentials are further attestation of your qualification & coaching competence.
To apply for an ICF credential you must be certified, and you must have a documented number of coaching hours. Certified Coaches can apply for ACC via the Level 1 or 2 track, or PCC via the Level 2 track. A PCC credential must be achieved before applying for MCC.

Certifications and Credential Pathways
Direct Pathway
Select a program that best matches your coaching goals, complete the requirements and graduate as a certified coach (with the option to pursue an ICF credential). It's a direct and time efficient certification approach.
Stepped Pathway
Select a program that considers your coaching goals. At any time before or after you graduate, you can upgrade to a higher level program, applying any tuition previously paid, or learning completed. A good option for those who are unsure how they plan to use coaching or have budget restrictions.

Our Training is more than just a series of Zoom classes.

Coach Education LMS
Our LMS (or ‘Learnsite’ as we call it) provides 24 hour access to module downloads, videos, audios, class and lab schedules, curated resources, graduation checklists etc.
Private Coaches Forum
Our forum is a private community with literally thousands of coaching conversations, networks and friendships. And with students across 4 timezones there is always an answer to be found.
Business Building (bLabs)
We train our coaches to be unique in their marketplace. The Business Labs are workshop style classes that support you to create a coaching portfolio and signature offer, and learn the best way to get your coaching practice online.
Your Coaching Model
You will create your own unique coaching model. A model that communicates to future clients and employees who you are as a coach, and the problems you solve.
Post Grad. Alumni
Ongoing access to labs, resources and the ICA Forum after you graduate for your coach development and credential renewals.
Peer Coaching
Peer coaching at ICA is extended learning, and can be counted towards your ACC, PCC or MCC credential application.
ICA Graduate Publishing
All our graduates create their own unique Coaching Model and Coaching Power Tool during the program. They also conduct a Research Project on a specialist coaching topic. We promote and publish all our Graduates in the ICA Blog.
