There is a significant difference between responsive vs. reactive. Some may say that it’s just semantics but imagine a world where you can choose how you show up at any given moment. A world where you are in control of your behavior; of what you say and how you react to the world around you. Self-awareness is the key to changing from reactive to responsive because it can be challenging for someone to recognize the difference between reactive and responsive behavior. Recognizing when emotions drive our behavior requires a certain level of emotional intelligence, which in turn will enable us to manage our emotions through rational thinking.
