To understand where we want to go, we must first understand where we are now. Surprisingly, despite my doubts about my ambitions, I never considered applying this approach to myself. The difficulty in applying this method to oneself stems from the fact that in our autopilot mode (which, according to the research, accounts for 97 percent of our day), we are muddled by all of our limiting beliefs, daily patterns, and internal saboteurs that have been ingrained in us since childhood, and even further back, from our ancestors.
