Disabling vs. Enabling, it’s easy to place blame on others for our predicaments because taking responsibility can be intimidating. Taking responsibility can make us feel as if we’ve failed, which can be difficult to accept. However, having a victim mindset hinders us and puts us at the risk of being perpetual whiners. Taking control of our surroundings and acknowledging our responsibilities in them puts us in a position to be accountable to ourselves and to chart our own paths.
