MORE – Mission, Expectation, Option, & Relevance

MORE Agile Coaching Model Ying Shing Wai

A Coaching Model By Ying Shing Wai
Agile Coach, HONG KONG

Middle-level managers are the people I’ve interacted with the most while working on numerous projects, whether as a vendor or in collaboration with various departments. Every time they made a decision, you could count on one of three things: pressure from peers, pressure from top management, or the viability of working-level operations. The goal of the MORE coaching model is to help clients reorganize situations and determine how to improve performance in complex situations. This model aims to connect “Mission” and “Expectation” through “Option” and “Relevance.” As well, when each part is explored, original and creative solutions may emerge to carry out the task as planned.

Evoking Awareness in Agile Transformation Through Professional Coaching

2022/07/05

Agile Transformation Ying Shing Wai_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Ying Shing Wai
Agile Coach, HONG KONG

In this research paper, we concentrate on the “What” and “How” of arousing consciousness during a professional coaching session for an agile transformation. The most lasting approach is to alter the mindset using Agile transformation and principles rather than implementing various Agile ways of working into procedures. This research paper also has discussed every aspect of creating, examining, and spreading consciousness. The client’s willingness, however, is not. Four personality types—Seekers, Pleasers, Introspectors, and Aware—have distinctive behaviors that would influence the efficiency of expert coaching and the outcomes of the Agile Transformation, as indicated in the earlier studies. Another crucial subject is how to assist various types of people. It might be the next area of study.

Autonomy vs. Authority

Autonomy vs. Authority Ying Shing Wai_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Ying Shing Wai
Agile Coach, HONG KONG

Although the coaching might take place whenever the client has stress or anxiety, the client needs to proactively request the service and might not be aware. These can help identify opportunities and establish a highly structured approach to organizing coaching sessions for coaches, coachees, and leaders. We can focus more on examining content from the Autonomy vs. Authority space before it happens. Then, depending on how things turn out, we might focus on learning about autonomy and authority and see what we’ve learned. Next, we can investigate the reaction to the modified situation.

Interview of Mathilde Poirieux: Leadership and Career Transition Coach

2022/04/25

Mathilde Poirieux Career Transition Claire Braunwald_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Claire Braunwald
Change Coach, HONG KONG

I was fortunate enough to cross Mathilde Poirieux’s path through the ICF Hong Kong Chapter when I first began my coaching career. Mathilde is the President of the ICF Hong Kong Chapter and a PCC Senior Executive Coach and Coach Supervisor. I recall Mathilde’s enthusiasm and readiness to share her passion for coaching and understanding of the coaching process with newcomers like myself who had a lot of questions, including how to get started. Her encouragement and support helped me achieve clarity on my path and the route I should follow at a pivotal point in my career and life, and it had a great and long-lasting impact on me. Fast forward three years to the building of my ICA portfolio, and I’ve learned a lot.

ADAPT

ADAPT Change Coaching Model Claire Braunwald

A Coaching Model By Claire Braunwald
Change Coach, HONG KONG

My emotional intelligence was built by learning to adapt to shifting situations and understanding the causes underlying people’s behaviors from a young age. I began a ten-year journey in the exciting world of luxury hotels, working in Sales & Marketing in four countries, armed with this formidable “people skill.” This path also includes a two-year stint with a worldwide change management consulting firm; both of these experiences were crucial in honing my ability to adapt to change. Here, my life experiences, commitment to self-development, coaching skills, and natural ability to be a cheerleader have come together to build the ADAPT coaching model that will accompany my clients through their life and career transitions.

Self-Limitation vs. Self-Empowerment

2022/04/13

Self-Limitation vs. Self-Empowerment Claire Braunwald_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Claire Braunwald
Change Coach, HONG KONG

Self-limitations are barriers that a client constructs for themselves, preventing them from seeing the full scope of possibilities and being their most genuine and powerful selves. Self-empowerment, on the other hand, is the ability to be aware of our own choices and to choose our own path to the desired outcome. Self-empowerment is essential for a client’s shift and achievement of their goal. I’d like to call this shift in viewpoint the “self-limitation vs. self-empowerment” power tool because it transforms the client from a bystander to a participant in the circumstance.

What is, What could be, and the Road Forward

Road Forward Education Coaching Model Rob Street

A Coaching Model By Rob Street
Education Coach, HONG KONG

It will be critical to keep the child grounded on the ‘Road Forward.’ Adults are accustomed to children providing the “right” answer. It should be obvious that the child, not the adult, has the correct answer. For younger children, an adult may have to judge what the child is capable of, but for older children, the decision must be made by the child. Instead of pressuring the child to make the plan robust, this idea is a crucial time to remain neutral, expressing neither support nor resistance to the child’s proposal.

Child Coaching – How Can Coaching Impact Children?

2022/03/07

Child Coaching Rob Street_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Rob Street
Education Coach, HONG KONG

The concept of Child Coaching (and tutoring in general) is not well understood throughout the community. A quick search reveals many people offering ‘coaching’ services, which are firmly in area 1, training executive or academic skills. This fact is not what I consider authentic coaching, and will not be discussed here. Almost all researchers agree that Child Coaching is effective. This is because this approach allows the child to be exposed to his or her limiting beliefs, which in turn opens the door to possible changes that may not have existed before. As well, the coaching approach is likely to spill over to any similar challenges the child faces in the future – having overcome one already, there is more chance of doing so again.

Grow vs. Status Quo

2022/03/04

Grow vs. Status Quo Rob Street_Coaching_Tool

A Coaching Power Tool By Rob Street
Education Coach, HONG KONG

The purpose of the Grow vs. Status Quo power tool is to assist the client in repositioning themselves. They’re probably stuck in an ineffective state of thinking, i.e., the fixed mindset. If they can effectively get out of this status quo and get into a place where growth is conceivable, there may be some type of success (hence, a positive experience). This is likely to be difficult for learners because these limiting beliefs are often very ingrained. Adults, for example, are frantic to explain to me why they are poor at arithmetic despite not having studied it in decades.

Generation Z Camilla Born_Coaching_Research_Paper

A Research Paper By Camilla Born
Success Coach, HONG KONG

Generation Z will soon surpass the millennial generation and become the most populous generation in the world. With more than one-third of the world’s population counting themselves as Generation Z. Generation Z is so familiar with self-directed learning, this particular group will thrive on coaching. Academic Success and Career Coaching for Generation Z seems to be an exciting and pivotal prospect. I will certainly relish the opportunity to work with this dynamic, driven, and diverse group of people.
