The Benefits of Adding a Coach Approach in Your Workplace are Real and Tangible

By adding coaching to your portfolio, you are introducing a proven methodology for creating positive change.  Your coaching expertise will help you, and those around you, to reach peak performance, maximise potential, and develop both personally and professionally.

Add Coach Skills to Your Professional Portfolio

Coach training for Managers, HR Leaders, Executives or anyone wanting to coach in their workplace. In each program you will learn how to apply a coach approach using essential coaching knowledge and tools.

Or, if you are looking to become a Coach Practitioner, then we also have fully accredited Coach Training Programs (ACTP)

Program Structure

Choose the Training that will best suit your budget, timefreame

Our Advanced Coach Training Program is a 150 hr ACTP and is for those who know they want to be a Certified Coach, who want to pursue an ICF credential and who plan to set up their own coaching business or practice coaching in a corporate setting.  But, not everyone needs this level of training or wants to start at the top. So, we've designed our programs so that they pathway into each other and you can upgrade and progress until you reach your desired level of expertise or certification.

  • Coaching Theory, Tools and Knowledge

This program area covers core coach training skills and knowledge and provides an overview of the various coaching philosophies and models that influence coaching. You will learn what coaching is, and more importantly, what it isn't.

  • Coaching Practicum

It's vital that anyone who practices coaching in a professional setting has had the opportunity to coach with mentor feedback. For this reason the ICF require that students complete Mentor Coaching before applying for an ICF credential. At ICA, your programs include either Peer Coaching, Coaching Labs, Observed Coaching, or Mentor Coaching. These are an important consideration when selecting which program is best for your plans for coaching.

  • Coaching Portfolio

One of the things that we focus on at ICA is helping you to create your own unique coaching identity. This showcases who you will be as a coach, and includes points of differentation such as your coaching model, niche, business model etc.

An All-Inclusive Learning Experience

You won't find traditional lectures at ICA.  Instead, we use a specialised e-learning approach, specifically designed for adult learners.  Our online learnsite gives you as much "knowledge" as we can upfront. The time you then spend with your coach trainers is spent DEEPENING your knowledge, not gaining it. In each live class, you will dig deeper into that specific theory or concept, and look at how you can apply it to your specific workplace or situation.

At ICA the term all-inclusive means - no hidden costs, no unexpected certification hurdles and full access to our coaching community.

ICF Credential Pathways

Not all coaches need or want an ICF Credential,  but we would highly recommend that all coaches become certified.  So, what is the difference?

Upon completion of your studies with ICA you will receive a Certification. In the case of coach training, certification is a globally recognized statement of attainment that indicates you have been assessed by an Accredited Coach Training Provider as having the industry recognized skills and expertise required to practice as a coach.

This option is for those who want to take their coaching to the next level.  An credential designates a recognized level of expertise in coaching, as assessed by an industry peak body.  ICA's Training leads to the ICF industry credentials of ACC, PCC or MCC.

Your Class Schedule

Classes are scheduled so they fit with your lifestyle and not the other way around.  With morning, afternoon and evening classes you can choose when you study.  And, if you miss a class one week, you can make it up at another time that same week or the week following.

Most of the students in our program have ongoing family or work commitments that influence the time they set aside for study. We totally  understand that and for this reason our programs are flexible and designed so that you create the study schedule that fits with your lifestyle.  All learning is delivered via a blend of LIVE teleclasses, forum discussion and self reflection with many opportunities to coach, and be coached.

Time options for classes to suite each time zone
It's up to you how many or few classes you take each week, with over 30 classes scheduled (Monday to Saturday) with morning, afternoon and evening classes.  If for some reason you find you need to take a break from your studies, then we have an enrollment variation policy where you can stop the clock on your studies for up to 6 months.
