What was your life like before coaching?
I am Senior HR Professional working full time in one of major companies in the Middle East. In addition to that, I am a Columnist in a major Newspaper and I have published 3 books . My day used to be a routine between my work, writing and personal and family commitments. My goal was to plan for an early retirement and so I enrolled in a Doctor of Business Administration program which I was not passionate about. Then I found coaching and ICA.
How are you using Coaching?
I have blended coaching with my existing profession as a senior HR Manager. I implement HR initiatives related to Manpower Planning and Recruitment, Training and Development, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Employee Engagement and HR Analytic.
What has your life as a coach been like?
Few months after my enrollment in ICA Advanced Coach Program, I discovered a whole new world of Coaching. I took serious steps to establish my practice as Life and Business Coach. I have used my new coaching techniques in my work as Senior HR Professional with my employees and internal and external clients. Being a Coach supports me on daily basis to discover new way and perspectives to handle challenges and expands my horizons via meeting new clients from all around the world.
What makes you unique as a coach?
I have 20 years of experience in Training and Development, Talent Management and Succession Planning, HR and Business Consultancy, Project Management yet I am just like you, facing daily challenges in life.
What was your most memorable moment with ICA?
Attending ICA Advanced Coaching Program has opened new horizons for me personally and professionally. Coaching has become my new way of leading my team and interacting with employees from all the levels.
I have discovered my passion and I am more aware of myself and my emotions and this supports me achieving my goals.
If there was one thing you could share with someone who is considering coaching as a profession, but not yet taken the leap, what would it be?
It is a journey for self awareness and to add a value to others.
Being a student with ICA was a great journey. It is not just the knowledge, the skills and the exposure that are great, but it is getting to know more about me as a person, getting to know that all the answers are hidden within us. Interacting with students from different cultures enriched my journey.
