I – Intuitively identify Your Inherent Coaching Talents (Niche)
My inherent coaching style utilizes a very direct approach with the client. I am not an effective coach when I spend significant time “chit chatting”. My personal mantra is an old phrase, “ Shit or get off the pot”. To some that may seem hard and crude, but I am a woman of action. I relish in getting people to engage more in action than talking. Think Say Do! I am also a warm and loving person, and have a communication filter that allows me to be sensitive with the ability to reach the core of a matter quickly by asking direct, yet non-offensive questions. If my talent could be portrayed as a logo it would show a fit woman surrounded by hearts, holding a whip. Love and Action.
C – Choose your Likely Client Profile Profile
My ideal client’s profile would ultimately resemble my own. I am capable of accomplishing a lot on any given day, but I also have a very busy on-the-go schedule and don’t always have or want an hour talking with somebody. Even the most brilliant attentive coach can lose my attention quickly. I am confident that are hoards of potential clients and people just like me. I am very in-tune with my unique characteristics and I know that my attention span is that of a fly. It is what it is. I desire to attract clients that also have short attention spans; success oriented people who want to accomplish their goal(s) in a short period of time.
O – Organize and Create your coaching presence
The laser coaching sessions will be 30-minutes in duration. I initially reflected on the 15-minutes that I came to appreciate in the supervised coaching sessions, but realized they worked in this environment of all coaches. We understood the coaching process, not all of our clients will come to a session with that learned ability. As coaches, we knew the parameters and could jump right into the heart of the coaching session and get to the meat of the matter quickly. This is a process that will definitely be fine tuned after gaining experience with clients. Research and many published articles indicate the common consensus is that adults have about a 20 minute attention span. I have determined my rates will be $30/30 minute session. It will be like the healthy fast good model of coaching and the client will leave full of possibilities, not empty of pocket and feeling fully satisfied.
A – Acknowledge and Set Boundaries for your Coaching Practice
Laser coaching is a good fit for my new coaching practice is that I have a desire to launch my coaching career as a part time coach; and I desire to coach many different types of clients. These quick bursts of focused coaching will be effective and doable for the client who may be pressed for time and have an urgent matter. My available hours will be weekdays from 5-7pm. My goal is to attract five clients an evening, which will enable me to transition into a bigger practice while still working my medical device sales job. With 30 minute laser sessions I believe I can attract more clients and ultimately grow my practice more rapidly.
