A Coaching Power Tool Created by Natacha Sommer Carvalho
(Executive Women in Leadership Coach, SWITZERLAND)

The privilege of a lifetime is to be who you truly are. C. G. Jung

Self-awareness is a very important tool in personal and professional growth. Developing the capability to know ourselves and to sustain self-development has become crucial with the ever- ending distractions asking for our time and attention.

Being on Auto-Pilot, busy with things that don’t generate value for ourselves or for those we serve, is a choice. When we are stressed and overwhelmed, we find it more challenging to move forward towards our goals because stress actually slows us down.

Our time is limited and the best choice we can make is to use our time wisely and slow down while being focused on the actions we need to take towards the goal we want to achieve. Being mindful of our strengths and of our learning style helps us to be present at the moment and to manage our energy much better. When we take care of ourselves, we have more energy to pursue our goals and become more resilient in the face of obstacles.

Understanding yourself at a deeper level will help you navigate all periods of your life. Knowing:

  • What is my goal?
  • What makes my goal a priority now?
  • What is getting in the way of being able to reach my goal?
  • What resources do I have to reach my goal?

Knowing yourself and being authentic will also allow you to be more open to knowing others, be aware of their challenges and develop stronger partnerships. Also, as we become more compassionate and less judgmental with ourselves, we can offer that compassionate, non-judgmental space for others.

Trough the DARE Model you will be able to move from autopilot into awareness and inspired action:

Achieve Deeper Clarity

Get more clarity on what you want to achieve, what is your goal and what behaviors are supportive of reaching that goal.

Through Awareness of Beliefs and Behaviours

Develop the capability to know yourself. Know your strengths, what resources you have and the support system you have in place to achieve your goal.

Reigniting Action

Knowing your strengths, resources and support system will encourage you to take inspired action towards your dreams.

Empowered to Achieve your Vision

You will feel empowered to pursue your dreams.
