A Coaching Model Created by Shannon Kiprich

Because everyone wants to be touched by Joy!
I understand my life to be one sparked by the joy of others. So, it makes sense to me that I see coaching through the same lenses, a way to help create more ripples of joy in this world.
My model is based on the belief that at the core of every person there is a joy! But as we grow up and life affects us in different ways than many other things overshadow that joy. And as a general desire, people want to make a difference in this world. Metaphorically, they want to create ripples that will affect others. This coaching model helps people to understand why their ripples have stopped forming or why they stop flowing. In relation to my niche of expat wives, young businesswomen, newly married, or young mothers, this model is used to help people live from the core of joy in their new or uncomfortable roles in life.
At the core of understanding my model is understanding oneself; Emotional Intelligence. I believe that by addressing the four principals of EI, one can begin creating their ripples again and see them positively affect the lives of others.
The four principals of Emotional Intelligence:
- Social awareness
- Relationship management
In addition, using principals of positive psychology and appreciative inquiry one can understand that their new roles, a new place of living, new living situation, or new relationship status are more rewarding than one might currently perceive it to be.
Through the process of self-awareness which includes, but not limited to:
- Personal Vision
one can begin the journey of reliving from a place of joy that will naturally flow and (re)create the ripples that will affect others.
Simply put, once the source of joy (self-awareness and self-management) is better understood than people can begin sharing this joy with others in their own way.
You have been created in order that you might make a difference. You have within you the power to change the world. ― Andy Andrews, The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters
