A Coaching Model By Diana Youngblom, Peace Development Coaching with Horses, UNITED STATES

PEACE Development Coaching

PEACE development coaching is about helping clients to discover hidden awareness potential through powerful, exceptional guidance via the coaching process. It empowers the client to change their behavior and use their assertiveness to accomplish their goals. As the PEACE development coach, the objective is to be authentic while assisting the client in shifting their perspective, and gaining a better understanding of the client’s needs and thought process.

Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace. Dalai Lama

John Lennon’s famous song “Imagine” has the popular line, “Imagine all the people, Livin’ life in peace,” an idyll everyone deserves. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines peace as “a state of tranquility or quiet.” Within peace belongs cessation of civil unrest, freedom, harmony, and a treaty to end hostile acts. Inner peace can be found through acceptance and gentleness from oneself; it is an intentional and purposive state of mind. The PEACE model was developed to ensure both the coach and the client reach their highest state of peace within and after the coaching session.

PEACE Model in Action

Using the developed coaching model P ➢ E ➢ A ➢ C ➢E will give the client tools to reach their goals without losing their sense of identity and self-respect.

P ➢ The PEACE development coach is a powerful listener. They will ask questions to find uncovered positive intuition potential in the client. These questions benefit the coachee by shifting their perspectives and beliefs. The coach partners with the client to maintain the ability to stay proactive and amplify respect for the client’s identity. Through their openness and non-judgmental performance, the PEACE development coach equips the client with trust and self-management.

E ➢ Modeling empathy, concern, and support for the client is a high priority for the coach. In the coaching session, the PEACE coach provides space for silence and reflection, empowering the client to explore their thoughts and options. The coach demonstrates consistent coaching ethics and standards by providing an honest and safe environment where the client can flourish and enhance their profound thinking. They are committed to assisting the client with constructive encouragement.

A ➢ The PEACE coach provides magnificent authenticity for their clients in each session. The team with the client to accomplish and clarify their objectives. In every session, they acknowledge and aid in voicing the client’s feelings, values, and awareness, while demonstrating understanding and vulnerability; they are fully present for the client’s expression of concerns and thinking barricades. The coach will dance at the moment with the coachee, using their language and style, and holding the client accountable for their actions by encouraging the client to form a plan of action through subtle questions and showing curiosity for their next step in achieving their session goal.

C ➢ Every client is capable of finding their path to their goal. The PEACE coach does not give any advice, mentoring, or therapy. In each session, they demonstrate openness and transparency to create trust with the client. Through the coach’s commitment and curiosity, the client can gain confidence in themselves, their skills, and their goals. As the client’s commitment grows, so does their contentment.

E  ➢ As the PEACE coach emphasizes exceptional questions, the client reconsiders the precedence of their activities and choices. Through effective feedback from the coach, they then have the tools, which they provided through their answers, to forge their path. With the coach’s support, they can enlighten themselves about possible alternatives.

The PEACE model helps the client find their path and supports the coach in every session. The coach dances the moment with the client without overstepping the coaching boundaries. By using the model, the coach can enhance their ability and give the client a profound experience in coaching. The client can take their foundation from the coaching session to the next level and change their habits to reach their goals. The PEACE coach model will ensure that both parties, coach, and client, end every session with a satisfied and positive outlook.
