A Coaching Model Created by Nicole Manuel
(Financial Sustainability Coach, UNITED STATES)
Finflex Coaching Solutions is dedicated to helping clients improve the flexibility of their financial situation through sustainable practices. As a financial sustainability coach, I work with individuals to improve the self-sufficiency of two vital areas in their lives: their personal economy and their communal economy.
The client’s personal economy is their own personal financial situation. By asking powerful questions, I help my clients reach high levels of awareness regarding their spending habits and the areas in which they wish to improve. As their coach, I recognize that each person is different and will thus have different needs. Some will prefer to make changes in spending, while others may prefer exploring new revenue streams or new ways in which to explore their financial independence. Although I encourage clients to research what works best for them, I also provide free resources to my clients on frugal and holistic living, various communal financial resources, couponing and how to locate the best deals, and do-it-yourself projects for the whole family.
The client’s communal economy is the financial ecosystem which supports them, their families, and their entire community. I help concerned citizens, activists, local leaders, and social entrepreneurs discover ways in which they can work together to improve their communal economy. As their coach, I understand that each person has their own ideas regarding how to benefit the economy and work with them to put those wheels into motion and shift their mindsets away from lack and scarcity and allow them to really trust their inner vision and abilities. The beauty of it is that there is no one correct vision or goal. By allowing them to explore the richness of their own imagination, together we can find the solutions that work best for their communities and collaborate with others who are inspired by their vision. I also provide for my clients free resources and links to information on how to organize events, plan cost-effective projects, gather like-minded individuals, and crowd fund your idea.
The aim for each client is an improved level of sustainability in their communities and in their own lives. To achieve sustainability, I assist clients in creating action plans around two core principles: cost cutting and value building. Clients will be encouraged to look at the many ways in which to save for their realized financial goal and decide on a course of action that will personally improve their quality of life. I walk with my clients on their journey through the Finflex coaching process: unearthing, cleansing, sprouting, growing, journeying, and blossoming.
The Finflex Coaching Process →
The very first step is to unearth the situation and dig deep into the dirt to locate their goals and aspirations. Here clients will determine their motivations for financial change and their level of commitment to their goals.
The next stage is to cleanse the root of any problems hindering a client’s progress. Once these problems come to the surface, we can work together to wash away the dirt and actively locate solutions that can help release perceived road blocks, doubts, and negative self-talk.
Once clients are liberated from their surrounding problems, we can begin to develop tasks and games for us to play with new ideas and sprout powerful decisions that could help propel clients toward their goals. These decisions will form the basis for their personalized action plan.
As clients are playing with new ideas and developing a strategy for success, their confidence and potential will activate as they learn and grow from within.
As clients become more confident in their abilities, they will embark on a journey through action steps in their personalized action plan. Once theory is shaped in their reality, real-life situations will provide feedback on what is working for them and what should be adjusted in order to maintain sustainable financial growth.
Once clients climb to the top of their action plan, they can look back in acknowledgment of their previous successes. As their coach, I am also their biggest cheerleader. I will be there every step of the way, watching as they progress and begin to trust themselves, and encourage them as they continue to blossom into their true radiant potential.
