The RESULTS Coaching Model represents my current coaching style. I believe that individuals are drawn to coaching seeking results. The results may be within one’s career, a personal situation, a relationship, a growth opportunity, a life opportunity or unknown. Depending upon the individual’s want or need, I’d like to offer exploration to support such results through this model.
I am responsible for creating a safe space to build trust and rapport and commit to having an open mind to be present for the client in where s/he wants to travel.
I engage the client and empower thoughts to explore and discover ideas and attempt to co-create an agreement for focus and to look forward, not back.
I suspend judgement to maintain ethical boundaries (maintain professional conduct) and all the while seeking to leverage the clients’ values and belief systems as the session evolves.
I utilize curiosity within the session for, and by, asking powerful questions to foster deeper dives with thoughts and offer to reframe themes for additional insight and learning.
I listen and focus on the client (not the issue) and acknowledge positive progress, as appropriate, as well as cultivate additional choices and opportunities that may serve the client best.
I trust, and believe within my heart, that the client has the answers, the coaching process does work, and my skills as a coach are exactly what my client needs at this time.
I then summarize often to maintain agreement and ensure the client’s response-ability for next steps for progress and the agreed upon actions for individual accountability purposes.
