A Coaching Model Created by Heba Zayan
(Youth Life Coach, EGYPT)
My coaching model is walking hand in hand with my research paper called Breathing as I do believe that by breathing properly a lot of our situations will get better.
Breathe
Invite the client to breathe deeply for few breaths to relax for a good fruitful session ahead and the coach also breathes deeply for more relaxation and to be fully present.
Rapport
The coach starts to build rapport with his client to help him to open up in the session.
Explore
The coach starts to explore the issue the client wants to discuss during the session. The coach asks powerful questions that elicit information about where the client feels he is now in respect to the issues defined.
Awareness
The coach asks powerful questions to help the client understands more his feelings, beliefs, values, motives and underlying beliefs if any. Reframing perspectives if needed.
Taking Action
Taking Action Work with the client to create a detailed action plan with clearly defined steps.
Holding Accountability
Reaching a practical timeline for the client so he can be held accountable. Creating Structures to help the client’s commitment.
Ending the session
Asking for the client’s feedback and making any comments.
