The 6 C’s Coaching Model – “C’s what you want!”

Catarina Mendes coachingmodelMy 6 C’s coaching model is draw based on what I have been experiencing during my peer coaching journey, my values and beliefs:

  1. coaching is about action
  2. action requires personal discipline
  3. personal discipline is the key to move forward
  4. moving forward requires a process (different stages to achieve a certain outcome)
  5. the coaching process has:
  • the client (drives  all the process)
  • the coach (support and hold the client)
  • an outcome (the client’s goals)
  • a method (the action plan)
  • a way to be measured (follow-up)

The fuel of all this process is ACKNOWLEDGEMENT during each step of the journey.

Identify the Situation

 

 

Create the Vision

  • Define where you are (the base line)
  • Where you want to go: get clear about it
  • Set the GOALS (long and short term)
  • Unlock your full potential
  • Know exactly what is it that you want
  • Dream big

Need for Change

 

 

Choose Possibilities

  • A mindset of possibility is where you can expand all your potential
  • Allow yourself to create new possibilities
  • Bring all your positive energy
  • “Pay the price” – determine what is the price that you are willing to pay to achieve your goals

Self-Awareness

 

 

 

Conquer Yourself

  • Make a strong commitment, once you decide to change, with yourself to go forward
  • Hold yourself accountable towards the given result

Beliefs and values

 

 

Change if So

  • Find what are your values, beliefs and underlying beliefs
  • Be sure that your goals are created aligned with your values and beliefs
  • Choose only the values and beliefs that really support you
  • Remove the roadblocks (underlying beliefs)

Application of Learning

 

 

Catch and Go

  • Draw your roadmap (the plan) with your strategy
  • Put your plan into action
  • “Get busy” towards  your goals
  • Stay FOCUS
  • Track your progress

Measure

 

 

Come Back Though

  • Evaluate your learning and achievements
  • Measure the results
  • Do more of what you figure out that works for you
  • Transfer your learning to the future
  • Be grateful for the growing and success
  • Celebrate
