Past, Present, Future
Clients may have decided that who they are today is a result of their past and who they are today will dictate their future.
But, what if they can be encouraged to radically define a different future for themselves that could influence everything they choose to do from today onwards based on their personal frames of reference: values, behaviours, principles and beliefs?
Can they decide that their future is not who they are today? Instead their future is what they choose to do today.
Breakthrough Coaching is Transformational and begins with developing an insight into existing patterns and seeks to build on inherent strengths to move towards desired states.
Breakthrough Coaching is solution focused and starts out with things as they are and then creates something new and purposeful to work towards.
The first phase of the coaching process is an in-depth Assessment. It is impossible to develop a plan and set targetable goals without first clearly establishing who the client is, what his/her values are and where they want to go.
It is important to develop an awareness of the inner state of the client, the outer state of the organization and the space in between (which is the domain of the coach)
In this phase a professional debriefing interview is conducted to identify strengths and weaknesses and uncover hidden roadblocks.
It is important to get input from peers through a 360 feedback which will help uncover any disconnects between the client’s self perception and those of others and will focus on important areas for development.
A Meyers Briggs professional assessment tool is used to identify and to compare a personality profile to validated personality traits.
Act and Refine
Following the values clarification process, Clients will gain a better understanding of why some goals are achieved effortlessly yet they never seem to be able to start on others.
Often this is a caused by a lack of congruency of the goals with their values.
Breakthrough Coaching enables Clients to work towards goals they truly value in a way that does not feel like work at all and helps them breakthrough the walls of inactivity and avoidance – by taking valued action.
