Life Coaching Model Abigail Wallin

R – Re-discovering values and building a foundation

Re-discovering values and building a foundation is a very crucial part of my RENEW coaching model. It is so important that that one is aware of who they are and why they are that way. Clearly defining values helps making decisions in life easier and one can be more confident is making those choices by knowing that they are aligned with important values. Many times an indecisive person is unaware of the reasons for making the life decisions they make and there for will find themselves completely lost or on the wrong path.

E – Examine fears, beliefs, and expectations

Examining fears, beliefs and expectations can sometimes be a very grueling part of this process. A lot of times, those things are underlying and therefore not easily examined. This step is the beauty of life coaching. Fears, beliefs and expectations become apparent through the coaching conversation and process.

N- New Declarations

Choose your new declarations and declare them frequently and confidently.  This is the turning point from discovery to empowerment. Personal declarations come in many forms because it is such a powerful and personal decision to boldly proclaim that you are stronger than the fears that embody you. At first the declarations maybe sound questionable but the more you are able to say the words outloud, the more your brain and ultimately your heart will start to believe them. Some examples of declarations are:

I am a Beautiful, Strong, Courageous, and Independent woman

I’m so grateful for my Friends and Family

I have overcome LOSS and therefore I will BE STONGER!

I am going to make my Goals and Dreams reality

Life is precious

E – Explore goals and dreams for the future

Explore goals and dreams for the future by brainstorming and mind mapping. This step also includes exploring how those goals will serve the client, if they aligned with values and what the major roadblocks are to achieving them. Prioritize and move to next step!

W – Way forward

Make a plan to move forward with the goals that have been identified. Set up check points to encourage accountability and remember to reward small successes.
