12 Sessions Delivered via Teleclass (18 hours)
Workshop with Peers
As part of this course you will be required to PLAN, DESIGN and DELIVER a short learning presentation. This can be in the form of a Group Coaching session, a Teleseminar, a Workshop or Seminar etc. The Learning Labs are devoted to you getting your presentation right.
You will begin the first lab with nothing but ideas and by the time Lab #12 comes around you should have a fully planned Program ready to go. You will then deliver your program and collect evaluations and feedback from participants. to help you further develop your skills as a Learning Leader
There are two time options for attending classesSunday and Tuesday @ 7am New York Eastern Time
Monday and Wednesday @ 5pm New York Eastern Time
It’s up to you when you attend classes. You can attend all 7am classes, all 5pm classes, or a mixture of both.
It’s an assessment requirement that you attend all 32 hours of classes. This is made up of 12 hours core curriculum (12 classes) and 18 hours of Learning Labs (via 12 classes).
There are two time options for the core curriculum classes. So, if you know in advance you will miss a class, find when the other time option has been scheduled and you can attend that class instead. Same applies for learning labs.
The Learning Leader program has been designed so it can be studied alongside or in addition to International Coach Academy’s Coach Training Programs.
Learning Leader generally runs for 8 weeks (or in the case of an intensive program, 4 weeks). You can choose to
- study both Learning Leader and your coach training at the same time
- focus only on Learning Leader and then when this short course is complete, resume your Coach Training studies.
Either way, we will ‘stop the clock’ on your certified training for 8 weeks.
As with all International Coach Academy’s training programs, the learning will be delivered via a password protected learnsite. The learning leader site will include
Downloadable modules (available in pdf for you to download and keep)

International Coach Academy’s Learning Leader program provides the 24 of the 40 CCEU’s required for the renewal of an ACC, PCC or MCC credential. These are Core Competency CCEU’s.
A Continuing Coaching Education Unit (CCEU) is 60 minutes of direct educational contact with an instructor.
The ICF offers credentials to individual coaches at three levels: ACC, PCC, and MCC. These Credentials are valid for the three-year period following the coach’s initial approval or latest renewal and must be renewed by December 31 of the year the credential expires.
eg. a credential awarded in 2009 must be renewed by December 31, 2012.
The CCE requirement for certification renewal is 40 CCEUs over the three-year period. A minimum of 24 of the required 40 CCEUs will relate to ICF Core Competencies. The remaining CCEUs will be Resource Development.
24 – ICF Core Competencies (as provided by Learning Leader program)
Coach Specific training providing instruction on coaching skills or ethics, or applying technical skills as a coach
16 – Resource Development
