Coaching Model: The Model of the Five Facets of Life

2013/08/22

A Coaching Model Created by Oscar Osorio Rivas
(Life Coach, LIMA PERU)

Field Of Activity Of The Model

The proposed Coaching model, called The Five Facets of Life looks for reaching the following aims:

  • Identify, prioritize and achieve objectives related to any of the five facets of life
  • Identify what our coachee wants to change or adjust in our personal styles, life’s strategies and habits

The Model is called “The Five Facets of Life” because we consider these are the scenarios where we manage day after day, therefore, through our Coaching process, using this model we look for a balance in the happiness degree of all the facets.

This model could be adapted to different Coaching processes, depending on tools used along the process, but above all in focusing the job in some facets. Under this model, we have developed Coaching Processes for Life, Executive Coaching, Couples Coaching and Business Coaching.

Stages Of The Model

The Coaching Model has the following stages:

Acknowledgment:

Through a detailed narration of the life that allows the coach to know his coachee, and the coachee to improve his self-consciousness.

Identification of Potentials and Opportunities of Improvement:

Through a detailed narration of the life that allows the coach to know his coachee, and the coachee to improve his self-consciousness.

Using Coaching tools, we could achieve a discovery and a re-discovery of strengths, weaknesses, gifts and skills[1] which form the ‘weapons for life’

Short Term Motivation Challenges:

We set up very short term objectives so, through achieving them personal motivation will be strengthened and also strengthening the conviction that with new stiles we could achieve new goals in the life.

Drawing Up Objectives and Adjusting Style, Strategy and Personal Habits:

Prioritizing important issues, we focus on short and medium term objectives. These objectives could be related to any of the facets of the life.

Reaching Objectives:

Through a detailed narration of the life that allows the coach to know his coachee, and the coachee to improve his self-consciousness.

The Coach advises and supports his coachee achieving his goals.

He acts as a ‘Partner for Life’
