A Coaching Model created by Cindy Chen
(Corporate/Executive/Career Coaching, CANADA)
What is the most rigorous law of our being? GROWTH. No smallest atom of our moral, or physical structure can stand still… It grows, and it must grow; nothing can prevent it. Mark Twain
什么是人类最严谨的法则?生长。我们道德、心智或身体构造的任何一个极微小的细胞都不可能保持不变。它会生长—也必须生长,什么都阻止不了它。

Notes (how it is used)
- While the GROWTH coaching model is designed for corporate and executive coaching, it can be used widely. It offers en effective framework supporting both the coach and the client/coachee to see the wood for the trees and keep coaching conversations on track.
- The simple questions in it provide examples for coaches to generate their powerful questions for their specific situations.
- Note that coaching conversations can begin at any point and journey through any direction. The model is like a compass for orientation rather than a rigid sequence of steps to be followed.
- PDCA (plan–do–check–adjust) cycle is an iterative management method commonly used in business for continuous improvement. Corporate coaches, coach-like leaders and others who are familiar with it may refer to it to guide through their coaching conversation stages.
Change is inevitable, Growth is intentional. What is more important is not where we stand, but in what direction we are moving…
改变是必然的,而成长是要有意识地选择的。重要的不是我们身在何处,而是我们心向何方
